President Keith C. Boyd has been in business for 30 years.

Getting his start as a carpenter/trimmer, Keith’s gained knowledge and experience have been instrumental in the formulation of Barley Homes today. 

Keith hand-picks each individual property and understands the many disciplines and requirements associated with today’s ever-changing regulatory compliance regulations from land developments, approvals, and the permit procurement process. 

Keith meets exclusively with each buyer to answer all questions from the start. 

He is hands on throughout the building process and meets with the buyers continuously to help them work through selections, changes and long after move in day. 

Keith has put together a dedicated team of employees and reputable subcontractors that strive to build the highest quality custom homes. Keith’s commitment to excellence has delivered homes with the highest standards providing a lifelong source of pride and satisfaction.

STEVE COZENSA ⦿ PROJECT MANAGER

A civil engineer, Steve has been a project manager for Barley Homes since 1998. In High School and during college, Steve worked for Barley Homes during his summer months gaining knowledge and experience.

Steve brings extensive commitment to managing client expectations, developing detailed project plans, coordinating all matters relating to projects with clients and helping to ensure that the multidisciplinary teams work together smoothly. He then establishes a detailed plan to ensure that all projects are delivered on time.

EMERSON PIERRA ⦿ CARPENTER & FORMAN

Master carpenter/foreman, Emerson has been with Barley Homes since 2005

As a talented craftsman, he brings the perfect blend of technical expertise with countless years of experience.

Additionally, he is extremely passionate about his work and brings quality and accuracy while still maintaining tremendous levels of personal interest in your home.

DANA NEWBAUER ⦿ QUALITY CONTROL

A mechanical engineer, Dana has been a Quality Control Manager with Barley Homes since 2008

Dana comes with extensive knowledge and precision to make sure the final product

is delivered with excellence. He inspects the home throughout the building process to ensure things are completed, done with accuracy and everything is in working order.

Dana works exclusively with our team of subcontractors and employees to make sure all is followed up and completed. His enthusiasm and dedication are unparalleled to guarantee the homeowners are receiving a home with the highest standards.

our process

STEP 1

Once finding the perfect property among our offerings, place a $10,000 fully refundable lot deposit to hold that property for 15 days and take it off the market. 

STEP 2

Once the property is reserved, you will be given all the information on the base offering for that particular lot. This includes, but is not limited to, floor plans, elevation, specs, a plot plan and the Agreement of Sale.

STEP 3

You will have 15 days from the execution of the Lot Deposit Agreement to ask any questions, and to decide if you would like to move forward with the purchase of that property. 

If you elect to move forward we will provide a complete set of documents to be executed. At this time, a non-refundable deposit of 10% will be due as outlined in the Agreement of Sale. 

STEP 4

After you are under an agreement, we will send you a selection schedule, as well as a list of preferred vendors. 

You will be given instructions on the order that the selections need to be made, to keep the construction and delivery of your home on time. 

STEP 5

As you make selections, each item must be signed off and all payments for upgrades will need to be paid before any construction begins. During this period, you will have the ability to fully customize your home.  

STEP 6

Once all selections are complete, we will meet periodically to review the construction progress and expected settlement date. 

STEP 7

We put the home through a rigorous inspection process to ensure it meets our expectations for quality and completeness. It is our goal to deliver each home with no punch list items. 

STEP 8

During the first 60 days we ask that you create a list of anything that you believe needs adjusting or correcting. With a written list of items, we promptly schedule a team of workers to correct any items that may need attention. 

STEP 9

Your new home comes with a 1 year warranty for anything else that might need attention during the first year of your ownership.

It’s also important to mention that we stand behind our product 100% and have assisted in warranty claims well beyond the expiration of the 1 year included warranty.
